The project involved aerial drone and ground filming to document the Phill Bascombe haulage company and their transportation task of a Victorian Alton Railway Bridge which was due to be demolished if not relocated. It involved close work with Network Rail, initially to remove the bridge from the mainline railway station at Alton and then place it onto an extended and low-line trailer before being transported to a nearby site where renovation work on the bridge to due to commence.
We filmed the entire process as it was dismantled and hoisted onto the transportation and then followed its journey out of Alton to the new site. The footage was used on several BBC news items including this piece on BBC South Today.
